lnsightful and engaging. We are truly socialites, never socialists.

Recently, a friend introduced me to his former schoolmate, who proudly called himself a Marxist. Having visited Havana a few times, he never missed a chance to criticize the bourgeois lifestyle.

Fast forward to last month at another friend’s party—he pulled up in a brand-new Toyota Venza. I jokingly remarked that he had fully embraced the bourgeois life. He just laughed it off.

On a lighter mood, we should expect no revolution from you soon, right?

😂

Hahaha...no one has time for that level of self denial in pursuit of some revolutionary mirage. As for me, I have long retired my revolutionary dreams :)

Insightful. Would appreciate a spotlight article on Tunji Otegbeye & the activities of the Communist Party of Nigeria. Thank you.

I don't know if it can be said that Nkrumah wasn't really a communist proxy. Afterall, the British and the CIA supported the coup that overthrew him because they were scared that he was communist - https://www.declassifieduk.org/top-secret-document-exposes-uk-role-in-ghana-coup/

If that was the case, they would not have allowed him gain power in the first place. They had imprisoned him after all and it was from there he went on to win power. By the time he had been in power for a while, it was clear to anyone that the least of whatever issues he had was communism.

I mean, can't the same be said for Lumumba?
