Luther famously noted that a Christian shoemaker does his duty not by putting little crosses on the shoes, but by making high-quality, durable shoes. God is pleased with good craftsmanship.
This is so beautiful. What a beautiful life the ship has had. I cried. I think about the patient repurposing of my own life. Feyi, for lack of a better word, you are incredible! Thank you for writing and sharing.
I really enjoyed this, thanks. I remember going round the Doulos twenty years ago when it was docked in Edinburgh. A childhood friend lived on the ship for a year with his family as a child. Fascinating to hear how the story ended!
This is the best thing I've read this week. Rich, thoroughly researched, and satisfying. Knowing that the ship now has a resting place, which isn't a junk yard, gives the story the perfect ending. Great work, Feyi.
Just - wow. Loved every bit of this and following the long and interesting journey this ship has been on. I have a special place in my heart for initiatives that give books to children.
Wow.

Always good ships.
Always!

A butterfly story of a ship.
This is such a compelling read! Thank you!
This is very well written and inspiring. A little bit of intentionality and lots of faith and execution can go a long way. Over 100 years of service.
