I've been asking myself what conditions have produced this unique (urban) culture which isn't present in Accra or Joburg (but maybe in Kinshasa)? My theory: the unique intensity of everyday social interactions in Lagos on a vast scale and minutely/hourly/daily 24/7. It's 17+million people in action constantly in very difficult conditions but pressing on regardless
